We reopened our gates to shoppers following government advise that all non-essential shops could open from the 15th June.
Almost all of the retailer stores and coffee shops have now re- opened with adidas, GAP Outlet, M&S Outlet, Levi’s and Sports Direct being some of the first stores to reopen on the mall. You can view an up to date list here
Our newest independent restaurant Codrophenia are welcoming diners again as well as brand new street food vans and your usual favourite cosy coffee shops. In addition, we are delighted to have welcomed a Morrison’s petrol station to the site, that opened in early June.
Throughout Dalton Park we have introduced safety measures, following advice provided by the Government and industry bodies to ensure shopper safety and to protect the health and wellbeing of all who work and visit the centre.
Markings on the floor and queuing areas outside stores are helping to manage the flow of guests on the mall, and facilities including a reduced number of toilets are open to facilitate social distancing. Cleaning regimes have increased, and hand sanitiser stations are now in place throughout the mall.
Dalton Park is also increasing visibility on the mall, with a team of customer service staff welcoming guests and monitoring the flow of people entering the outlet, CCTV will be used to ensure there are no bottlenecks.
Stores have adapted their interior layouts, till areas and calculated their maximum capacity.
Jerry Hatch, the Centre Manager at Dalton Park, is delighted to be able to welcome shoppers back to the outlet.
“We opened the doors on 15th June and so far feedback from the shoppers has been very positive with many saying they feel confident in the arrangements we have put in place.
“Footfall was steady during our first seven days since reopening, it’s been a real pleasure to see shoppers return to the mall. We’re working in very close partnership with our retailers so that our visitors feel at ease and can return to enjoying a leisurely shopping trip. We are fortunate that Dalton Park is an outdoor centre and we have reasonable space to accommodate social distancing, whilst still creating an enjoyable shopping environment.”
